For more information read our blog post on the topic here.

These robust stand-alone assessments have been added to all of the Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) subjects.

Why Skills for Health?

  • All courses are Core Skills Training Framework compliant
  • Skills for Health safeguarding courses are the most up to date and complete courses available, they include the latest guidance on Prevent and reflect all of the current government and expert guidelines. The terminology is neutral and suitable for acute and community settings
  • Primary care courses use terminology and scenarios from community services and non acute images where appropriate
  • All courses will continue to be updated throughout
  • All courses are quality training, based on sound educational principles – not powerpoint slides adapted for the web
  • All courses check understanding of key facts during the training sessions and allow users to go back and forward in the course to check any points
  • All training includes an assessment of knowledge at the end before a certificate is granted
  • All CSTF courses are supported by an e-assessment module so that staff can demonstrate knowledge from prior training
  • Managers can easily track progress across their staff.
