Course Description
Appropriately managed medical emergencies can prevent a casualty's condition deteriorating.
This course will help educate and build confidence in recognising and managing acute medical emergencies in a variety of environments. The course is combined with Basic Life Support to teach the necessary skills to act in an emergency situation prior to the arrival of emergency services.
Students will learn a systematic approach to applying the ABCDE assessment in order to determine the appropriate management for each condition.

- Become familiary with ancillary equipment and maintenance required
- Understand the importance of recording and reporting incidence to the appropriate establishments
