First Aid at Work 3 Day Qualifying
This course is regulated by the Health & Safety Executive. It complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and provides a thorough knowledge of First Aid within the workplace. It is ideal for those working in hazardous environments such as construction and heavy industry, as well as lower risk office workers.
Course content includes:
- Introduction to first aid and management of an incident
- Basic life support (care of the unconscious casualty and resuscitation techniques)
- Recognition of illness (epilepsy, diabetes, heart attack/angina, stroke, asthma, circulatory shock etc)
- Management of injury (burns, bleeding, fractures, sprains, head injuries etc)
- Anaphylaxis
- Poisoning
- Choking
Training includes both theory and practical work
All traners have hands on experience dealing with medical emergencies (paramedics, military, firefighters)
On successful completion of the course, delegates will be awarded a nationally recognised certificate for the purposes of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The certificate is valid for three years from the date of issue.

Courses may be arranged for group bookings either at our local venue or on customer premises, (provided you have a suitable training room on site). Group bookings are more cost effective and may be held at a date and time to suit your requirements. Prices are charged on a variable daily rate with a maximum number of 12 delegates per trainer) as per HSE regulations).
