The role of providing care and support as a professional or family carer is an important one. People with dementia rely on you to have knowledge and skills to enable them to have the best quality of life possible. We believe that by undertaking this training module you will increase and update your knowledge of the ways that mental capacity affects people.
The Mental Capacity Act 2005 covering England and Wales, provides a legal framework for people who lack capacity to make decisions for themselves or for those who have capacity and want to make preparations for when they lack capacity in the future.
