Working at heights is a routine aspect of the job for several staff roles within educational settings.This course provides delegates with the knowledge and understanding to enable them to work safely at height using leaning ladders and step ladders. Delegates will gain a solid understanding of working at height regulations. They will learn the correct terminology to name parts of the ladder and be able to identify when a ladder is the most suitable access equipment. Participants will be able to identify the correct ladder to use along with stability devices. This course includes practical activity where delegates will be assessed correctly siting and climbing a ladder. The programme does not cover platforms or scaffolding.
