CPR and Emergency First Aid at Work

Anyone involved in healthcare and social care (paid or unpaid) have a duty of care to respond to the needs of individuals in emergencies or sudden illness. By improving your knowledge, skill and competence in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency first aid you will be able to meet your safety and regulatory responsibilities.

It is important to have up to date training on safe techniques with an annual refresher. Our training is mapped to Standard 12 – Provide basic life support and Standard 13.4 – Understand procedures for responding to accidents and sudden illness.

Course Outline


  • To raise awareness of basic life support
  • To understand appropriate response to different types of accidents and sudden illness that may occur in your workplace
  • To undertake assessed practical activities to support development of competence


  • To complete assessed practical learning activities
  • To understand the boundaries of your role
  • To assess a situation quickly and calmly and summon the appropriate help
  • To assist the casualty and provide the necessary treatment
  • To pass on relevant information to the emergency services
  • To be aware of your own health and safety needs.

Full day taught courses are group of 8 learners (maximum)

Half day CPR only courses are available on request.

We are open to negotiations to meet individual client training needs including training for larger groups. We understand that budgets and time can constrain workforce development and we wish to ensure the most effective solutions including bespoke training.

Training £595 for 8 people or £75.00 per person on a public course.

CPR and Emergency First Aid at work course is a full day workshop for a maximum of 8 learners. Learners will receive a workbook to facilitate retaining and refreshing knowledge following the course. Certificates of attendance will be sent following the course and a Training Evaluation report following learner feedback.

We require a host organisation to provide an appropriate size training room for the number of learners and the ability to provide learners with refreshments (tea and coffee) and facilities for breaks (toilets).
