Delivery Method: Face-to-face The health and safety of individuals and yourself is the most important responsibility of a care professionals’ role and their employers. Health and Safety Training safeguards individuals, colleagues and others in the workplace which is both a moral and legal responsibility.
Our Health and Safety training is mapped to Standard 13 – Health and Safety.
(13.3 – Move and Assist Safely and 13.5 – Understand medication and healthcare tasks are not covered in this module. Separate training is required.)

Aims
- To be aware of key health and safety legislation
- To understand yours and others health and safety responsibilities under:
- Risk assessment
- Falls
- First Aid
- Control of substances hazardous to health
- Fire safety and prevention
- Working securely
- Managing stress
Objectives
By the end of this programme, you will be able to:
- understand the key legislation that relates to health and safety in healthcare and social care
- understand the key responsibilities of yourself, manager, service users and others in health and safety
- understand the boundaries of your responsibilities as outlined in your organisation’s health and safety policies and procedures

JoCo Learning & Development Ltd. can also create this course for you on arrangement at your workplace.
Health & Safety course is a half day workshop and is for 12 - 15 learners. Additional learners may be negotiated at additional cost. Learners will receive a workbook to facilitate retaining and refreshing knowledge following the course. Certificates of attendance will be sent following the course and a Training Evaluation report following learner feedback.We require a host organisation to provide an appropriate size training room for the number of learners and the ability to provide learners with refreshments (tea and coffee) and facilities for breaks (toilets).
