Delivery Method: Face-to-face This course is designed to to understand how to safeguard and protect vulnerable adults and how to respond to evidence or concerns that a vulnerable adult has been abused or is in risk.
Duration: one day or half day course.

- Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults in a care setting
- Individuals’ and organisations’ safeguarding duties and responsibilities
- The mental capacity act and safeguarding
- Identifying risk and vulnerability to abuse and neglect
- Risk assessment (incorporating into Care Plans)
- Rights and responsibilities of vulnerable adults (including their understanding)
- Emotional and physical health and safety
- Responding to concerns and record keeping.
- No Secrets Act and POVA /SOVA legislation
- Relevant policies
