About the trainers
Kate Fox

Kate is the producer & community manager for the Nominet Trust-funded madewithjam.org, which provides not-for-profits and community groups with everything they need to make a website that makes a difference.

She began her working life as a bookseller and publisher, before becoming New Media Manager at the Mersey Basin Campaign in 2006 with a brief to explore the potential of (what were then) emerging social media tools. When the Campaign closed its doors in 2010, Kate became one of the first cohort of students on Salford University's MA Social Media, with research focusing on the technological lives of volunteer communities. She graduated with distinction in 2011, and moved on to develop social media strategy for BBC CBeebies Grown-Ups. Kate also delivers social media training to charities and heritage organisations as an associate of Sounddelivery, and is co-organiser of Manchester Social Media Surgeries.

Hugh Jackson

Hugh Jackson is a co-founder and Director of a leading UK-based digital marketing agency MediaCo. Established in 1999, the company’s core services include search engine optimisation (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, email marketing and website copywriting. Hugh, who holds an MBA, is recognised as an expert in the field of digital marketing and is a regular speaker at industry exhibitions and conferences.

Ravinol Chambers

Ravinol Chambers is an Irish-born entrepreneur with 18 years' business and charity expertise. He delivers innovative, impactful projects that deliver positive social outcomes. He is a regular speaker, writer and presenter on communicating powerfully using video, and has developed hands-on courses to help social causes engage and inspire supporters by creating their own quality videos for the web.

Madeleine Sugden

With over 10 years' web experience, including five years as web editor at RNIB, Madeleine's passion is creating websites which are usable, accessible and useful. She has delivered writing for the web training throughout her career and passes on best practice in charity communications, specifically digital fundraising, campaigning and social media. She is currently Content Manager for KnowHow NonProfit.
