At the FSI we believe that if knowledge is not shared its value diminishes, so we share our knowledge for free. Our training courses cover a wide range of subjects from event planning to leadership. However, we know that what you need most is to secure funding, so the majority of our training courses are focused on helping you to learn the skills to raise and earn income for your charity.
Our extensive training programme is at the core of our support for small charities – in 2016 we will provide over 2,500 free delegate places at Training Events in London and 12 other hubs in the UK. Since 2007, we have built up both the number of training courses on offer and also the range of topics covered.
As demand for our training courses is high, each charity is limited to 3 places over the day, and people from the same charity may not attend the same course as each other except for the half day Governance workshops for CEOs and Trustees. Don’t worry, we’ll provide you with a workbook and electronic copies of the materials so you can share the learning with your colleagues!
Free delegate training places are limited to small charities, wherever they are based, with a aim to help them access the skills they need to become self sustaining. Training sessions cover a wide range of fundraising techniques and back office skills delivered by experienced and knowledgeable trainers.
Please note that the training course and materials are free of charge to FSI Small Charity Members and Associate Members. A £50 as a deposit when you book. We will refund the deposit, retaining a £10 booking fee, upon the full day attendance to the course. Deposits will not be returned in cases of partial attendance.
Each course is free of charge, and has a market value of £325. Course places are donated to small charities by the sponsors, donors, funders and Trustees of the FSI.
