Stress Awareness and Resilience for Staff

People get confused about the difference between pressure and stress. We all experience pressure regularly – it can motivate us to perform at our best. It is when we experience too much pressure and feel unable to cope that stress can result.

The session will enable staff to develop techniques and strategies in managing pressure in their lives and building their own resilience.

  • By the end of the workshop, participants will:
  • Clarify what is meant by stress
  • Understand the difference between pressure and stress
  • Identify causes of stress
  • Appreciate the impact of stress on the mind and body
  • Reflect on a range of techniques and strategies to help support you
  • Be able to apply simple techniques to manage life and work pressures
