Book your place on one of our half-day workshops to learn how to use social media effectively and confidently in your healthcare role. Whatever your level of experience, our courses will help you to get the most out of social media.

Course background

This practical half day course will start from the basics and show you what Twitter is, what it looks like on a computer and a smartphone, how to send a tweet, how to find people on Twitter and what following someone on Twitter means. What’s a hashtag? We’ll answer that too.

If you've never had a Twitter profile or have just started using one; this course will help you get comfortable with Twitter’s features and functionality. We’ll guide you step-by-step in setting up your account, finding profiles you’d like to follow and even starting conversations (if you want to).

Finally, we’ll take a look at how different NHS organisations and staff are using Twitter. You’ll leave the course with all you need to know to be able to use a twitter account and know where to get further Twitter tips
