Management of Cancer in Primary Care

RCGP Learning
Delivery Method: eLearning

There are 1.8 million people in England living with a diagnosis of cancer. This number will double by 2030 and around a third more cancer diagnoses will be made each year. GPs and the primary healthcare team are essential in supporting the physical and emotional well-being of a cancer patient, their relatives/carers, addressing secondary prevention and lifestyle factors that will minimise the risk of future cancers and other long-term conditions and improve the patient experience.

This course covers the importance of the GP and primary care team in the management of cancer in primary care throughout the entire patient journey once cancer has been diagnosed. It has been developed in partnership with CRUK.
