Here at Guardian Angels, our first-hand experience of working in medical, clinical and care settings has taught us that every organisation has different requirements, so we tailor our tissue viability training and wound care courses to suit your exact needs. During their everyday duties, social and healthcare workers will find themselves in contact with patients or service-users with wounds that need attending to. These may be minor or moderate and caused by a variety of different reasons.
Our wound care and tissue viability training is delivered by NHS tissue viability nurse specialists, and aimed at delegates who wish to improve their skills and knowledge of wound types, pressure sores and skin deterioration, assessment, treatment, monitoring, recording and much more.
We offer a range of different courses in this field, from basic to advanced, developing a syllabus to meet your needs. In addition to our wound care courses and tissue viability training, we can also offer other topics such as leg ulcer management and pressure area care for more specific requirements. Due to the variation in content, the syllabus for each course varies, but as a general guide, delegates can expect to learn:
Our tissue viability training and wound care courses run between 3 and 30 hours, over 1 to 5 days, depending on your chosen content.
The course process
consists of continual assessment by the course tutor, case studies, practical
scenarios, OSCE's and workbook completion. Guardian Angels Training will
provide the necessary competency proformas required to ensure safe and
evidenced-based clinical practice following completion of our training course,
