Tracheostomy Care Training | Tracheostomy Care Course

Tracheostomy care training course

Our tracheostomy care training has been designed to provide nurses and support workers with the information, understanding and skills to ensure that patient safety is expertly managed and that the risk of potential problems associated with tracheostomies are mitigated.

Generally a temporary clinical measure, a tracheostomy is used in several situations, such as:

  • A compromised airway
  • For respiratory support such as mechanical ventilation

A high level of tracheostomy care is essential in order to keep the tubes and dressings hygienic, but there are also issues with communication that need to be understood and addressed.
