Course 2 - Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards

The Mental Capacity Act Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (MCA DOLS) came into effect on 1st April 2009. This amends a breach of the European Convention on Human Rights and provide for the lawful deprivation of liberty of those people who lack the capacity to consent to arrangements made for their care or treatment in either hospitals or care homes, but who need to be deprived of liberty in their own best interests, to protect them from harm.

Course 3 - stroke awareness

The stroke awareness training course is aimed at anyone currently working or seeking to work within the health care sector. Candidates will benefit from having knowledge of symptoms, treatments and side effects.

The course will cover the following topics;

Who is at risk

Treatment for strokes

Rehabilitation methods

Course 4 - Asbestos Awareness

Our ‘Asbestos Awareness’ course aims to build awareness and develop knowledge of the hazards and risks posed by asbestos containing materials (ACM’s) within the everyday working environment. It also offers an overview of the legislative measures in place to safeguard workers.

Course 5 - Asperger’s Awareness

There are many ways in which people with Asperger’s syndrome might be different. Though people with this diagnosis might well have the core difficulties with social communication/interaction, and repetitive or rigid behaviour and thinking, there are many ways in which their presentation can vary.

Course 6 - Allergen Awareness

This module will show you how to provide allergy information on pre-packed or unpackaged foods. It will cover what effects allergies may have to the body, considerations of allergies in the factory, how allergenic ingredients should be displayed on a label, identifying allergens in example of dishes in the restaurant and how food businesses should be providing consumers with allergen information about the non-prepacked food they serve.

Course 7 - Learning Disabilities

This module is intended to provide basic awareness of learning difficulties and some of the issues they can present. After completing this module you\x92ll understand what a learning difficulty is and how it can affect people. You\x92ll see how diagnosis of a learning difficulty is made and there is a glossary of some of the more common conditions.

Course 8 - Disability Awareness

This training is great for employees and businesses, to ensure that services, policies and procedures comply with equality legislation and to open up their services to a wider range of users. Participants will leave with a general awareness of how to make services accessible and interact positively with disabled people.

Course 9 - Mental Health Awareness

Mental Health Awareness focuses on common signs and symptoms of mental health and ways to manage the symptoms. The course is aims to highlight some common conditions to help those in the health and social care sector recognise situations and empathise with anyone they may come into contact with.

Course 10 - CARE CERTIFICATE - Standard 9: Awareness of Mental Health conditions


Certificate

On successful completion of this course learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement award from HRUK Group.

This certificate will be produced in PDF format, hard copies of the certificate will be available at an additional fee of £3.99.

This course is delivered online via E-Learning. Learners of the course will receive instant access to our interactive student learning portal, which offers 24/7 access to the courses.

Course Duration

All of our Speciality, Mandatory or Multi Sector Online courses require a minimum of between 1 & 2 hours to complete in full. This is only a guide to the learning hours required and it depends on how quickly an individual can absorb the information. The learning is online so it can be spread out over multiple sessions or done in one session.

Learners will have access to this course for 12 months from the date of accessing the course for the first time. There is no time limit to complete the course during this 12 month period.

The assessment can be re-taken as many times as the learner requires at no extra cost. We must advise that the questions do change each time. All of our Speciality, Mandatory or Multi Sector Online courses are designed to teach as well as assess.
