This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in basic life support and the management of Anaphylaxis. The content of this qualification has been approved by the Anaphylaxis Campaign.
Intended Audience
The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (QCF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic life support and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency.
Over a half day period, successful Learners will attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: managing a casualty with anaphylaxis, CPR, common anaphylaxis triggers, signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, treatment and more. This qualification can be delivered as a standalone course (minimum of 3 hours 25 minutes) or as a 'bolt on' (1.5 hours excluding breaks) to other first aid qualifications that share the same assessment criteria.
