Care Certificate (Four Day Training Course)

The Care School Limited
Delivery Method: Face-to-face

The 4 Day Care Certificate is a key component for all new Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) and Adult Social Care Workers (ASCW). Replacing Common Induction Standards training this course applies across the health and social care sector and ensures knowledge competencies across the new 15 fundamental standards.

These 15 standards will be delivered across 4 days including practical training in Safer People Handling & Personal Care and Basic Life Support as per the UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

Students will produce their written evidence of knowledge competency across each standard that is valid, authentic, current, reliable and sufficient (Basic Life Support will be assessed through simulation). This evidence will be assessed in order to ensure the student is ready for on the job observations in a care environment.

Each student requires the care provider they work for to internally assess their competencies through observations at work.

It is essential that students have a good standard of literacy to enable them to complete this course. In conjunction with Skills for Care -Care Certificate framework standard 2.2a and 2.2b where numeracy, literacy and communication skills must be observed in the work place.
