Training will be delivered face-to-face with Covid-safety measures and clear guidance in place.
If for any reason the course cannot be delivered face-to-face, we will take a flexible and responsive approach to keep people learning by delivering the training on the same day as a live interactive online session or transferring bookings to the next available dates.
Course overview
Develop your awareness of mental health; gain ideas and guidance for promoting wellbeing, and understand how to respond to difficulties that can arise.
The course focuses on the social, psychological and biological aspects of mental health including factors related to diversity. The views of people with ‘lived’ experience of emotional or mental health ‘issues’ will be central, as well as up to date information on approaches and services.
This course aims to raise participants' awareness of mental health issues in order to enable them to better understand and support individuals experiencing emotional distress and/or mental health problems
