FACE-TO-FACE DELIVERY: 2 day course, 9.30am - 4.30pm, (11 & 12 May 2021)

We will deliver the training to a smaller group in a large room. We have been working closely with the venue to ensure we have Covid-safe measures and clear guidance in place. If for any reason the course cannot be delivered face-to-face (e.g. guidance changes, there is a local lock-down, the trainer has symptoms), we will take a flexible and responsive approach to keep people learning – which will include delivering the training on the same day as a live interactive online session, or transferring bookings to the next available dates.

Mental Health First Aid is the help given to someone experiencing a mental health problem before specialist help is obtained. MHFA provides a framework for responding to anxiety, self injury, depression, suicide risk and psychosis. You’ll learn how to recognise the signs of mental health problems and develop confidence to respond to people who are distressed; and identify techniques to keep people safe, prevent symptoms worsening, aid recovery and find appropriate support. Participants receive a manual and certificate of attendance from MHFA England.
