  • To understand the role of brief solution focused therapy in a trans-theoretical approach to counselling problematic behaviours

  • Describe assumptions about preparation for change
  • Recognise the influence of the helper on motivation
  • Practice key skills in solution focused therapy
  • Understand the role of brief solution therapy in the context of a broader counselling framework
