Unit 1: Principles of providing administrative services

This unit will enable staff to develop knowledge of a range of administrative support tasks as well as meeting types, different mail services and an understanding of how to organise travel and accommodation. This unit will develop employee’s understanding of the impact of delivering poor customer service.

Unit 2: Principles of business document production and information management

This unit will provide staff with an understanding of how to prepare and distribute business documents and identify how information is managed in business organisations.

Unit 3: Principles of customer service

This unit will expand employee’s understanding of customer service, focusing on developing their skills in effective delivery and identifying customer expectations. Staff will discover the importance of keeping up to date with competitor’s activities and will gain an understanding of the legal and ethical requirements relevant to a customer service role.

Unit 4: Understanding stress

Unit 5: Understanding anxiety

Throughout this unit, employees will gain an understanding of anxiety and its causes by developing an appreciation of what anxiety feels like for an individual and the symptoms that may be experienced. Staff will discover ways in which anxiety can be managed and treated and will also gain an understanding of the roles and needs of the individual’s family and friends.
