This half day course is for ALL staff working in care homes, nursing
homes, domiciliary care & supported living who may have contact with adults
at risk during their working day whether in person or on the phone.
Overview:
- Understand what safeguarding adults is and your role
- Recognise an adult in need of safeguarding and take action
- Understand the procedures for making a safeguarding concern
- Understand dignity and respect when working with individuals
- Have knowledge of policy procedure and legislation that supports safeguarding adults

- All training sessions have been written using Skills for Care Induction Related Training, part of recommendations for CQC Providers Guide (2015).
- Where possible content is evidence based.
- All sessions are regularly reviewed to ensure the most up to date evidence is used.
- Sessions will be adjusted to meet the needs of your organisation.
- In addition to the training sessions Caring Footsteps currently delivers, bespoke training can also be written and delivered.
Caring Footsteps will provide theoretical information and materials for training provided, however it is the providers’ responsibility to declare individuals attended training competent to practice. Caring Footsteps will not declare any individual competent to practice.
