Safeguarding Adults Awareness (Level 1)

This half day course is for ALL staff working in care homes, nursing homes, domiciliary care & supported living who may have contact with adults at risk during their working day whether in person or on the phone.

Overview:

• Understand what safeguarding adults is and your role
• Recognise an adult in need of safeguarding and take action
• Understand the procedures for making a safeguarding concern
• Understand dignity and respect when working with individuals
• Have knowledge of policy procedure and legislation that supports safeguarding adults

• All training sessions have been written using Skills for Care Induction Related Training, part of recommendations for CQC Providers Guide (2015).
• Where possible content is evidence based.
• All sessions are regularly reviewed to ensure the most up to date evidence is used.
• Sessions will be adjusted to meet the needs of your organisation.
• In addition to the training sessions Caring Footsteps currently delivers, bespoke training can also be written and delivered.
