Overview

Candidates will gain knowledge of the legislative framework for the use of medication in social care settings and learn about common types of medication and their users.


Course objectives include

  • Describe changes to an individual’s physical or mental well-being that may indicate an adverse reaction to a medication
  • Be able to describe routes of administration and forms of medication
  • Demonstrate how to receive, store and dispose of medication supplies safely


Delivery Method

This programme has a mixed delivery. There will be some self study and face to face meeting with your Regional Trainer.

This is a 12 week programme.
