This level 1 course presents the Mental Capacity Act 2005 in a format that is both easy to digest and apply. Attending learners will typically be healthcare and care staff who need to know what the act requires of them, why and how to ensure compliance in their daily work practices.

  • Mental capacity defined
  • Core principles of the act
  • Capacity assessments and worked examples
  • Record keeping
  • Lasting and enduring powers of attorney

This awareness session is a great way of gaining greater understanding of the Mental Capacity Act in an interesting and accessible way.

This training is a half day session.
