This is a practical face-to-face workshop, accredited by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, and delivered by an experienced pharmacist or nurse. It is the workshop that has been shown to reduce medication errors by 36%.
Learners have their competence assessed to select and record medicines administered using three simulated medicines rounds (before, during and after the workshop). Any who fail are referred to take our Virtual Medicines Round online competence assessment.
Each learner is provided with a full colour 128-page workbook covering the learning outcomes in Unit 3047 "Support the Use of Medication in Social Care Settings" click here to see sample pages. This workbook comes with an e-learning module that can be sat after the workshop.
