We offer an administering medication training course aimed at staff working within a residential or domiciliary care setting that need to safely administer medicine. This course considers Level 1 and Level 2 administration

Delegates are informed of content of policies, procedures and administration recording practices using a variety of teaching techniques to meet the needs of individual delegates and includes the following:

  • Legislation
  • Levels of medication administration
  • Types and classification of medication
  • Storage and disposal
  • Administration of medicine
  • Supporting self-administration
  • Supporting independence and choice

This course is of 3 hours (half day) duration.

Acorn Health & Safety Ltd can also create this course for you on arrangement either at your workplace or at one of their locations.

We’ll provide delegates with a variety of printed course materials including workbooks and handouts. On successful completion of this course delegates will receive a printed course certificate.
