Principles of Emergency Care

To apply for this course you should be working in a clinically relevant area and should be a registered health care professional.

This courses is delivered at our Glenside Campus.

Course content includes:

• Assessment and management of patients presenting in emergency care
• The vulnerable adult
• Children and their families
• Minor trauma
• Major trauma
• Surgical and medical emergencies
• Wound management
• Writing for publication
• Communication
• Political awareness.

Delivery:

Study time totals 24 hours and is delivered in the form of seminars, lectures and online activities.

Please note: Priority will be given to applications received through our funded educational contracts. Places on this module will be limited for applications received outside of this funding. Please check with your employer as a funded contract place may still be available to support your learning.
