Health and Social Care Research: Methods and Methodology

This course is offered at Masters level and is delivered at our Glenside Campus.

Course content includes:

• The current state of research in health and social care
• Access, use and the development of information systems
• Critical appraisal methods as applied to selected research methodologies and strategies adopted in health and social care
• An overview of the main research methodologies and strategies
• Health Service Evaluation
• Ethical issues in research
• Innovations in research and the development of new methodologies.

Delivery;

A variety of learning approaches will be used, including UWE Online, in conjunction with weekly face-to-face seminars and self-directed study. You will require easy access to a computer and the Internet for the duration of the course.
