Safeguarding Children Level 2 Refresher Training

This course is for those who have attended the Full Safeguarding Children Level 2 course and are due their 3 yearly update.

Objectives/Aims of Course

The objective of the course is to raise awareness as to the responsibilities in protecting children depending on job role, also to provide the information and knowledge base to support this.

Course Programme

• Attendees should leave the training with the ability to notice concerns that might make a child vulnerable to abuse or is potentially already being abused.
• Attendees should know what action to take and where to report their concerns.

Course Deliverables

On completion of this training attendees will receieve a certificate for the number of hours completed at Level 2.

Who Should Attend (including pre-requisites)

This course is an update for those who have previously attended the Full Safeguarding Children Level 2 course.

All staff that have any contact with children, young people and/or parents/carers, but are not contributing to assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating the needs of a child or young person and parenting capacity where there are safeguarding/child protection concerns, should be attending the Level 2 Safeguarding Children training.
