Typhoid fever, sometimes known as enteric fever, is a systemic infection caused by the gram-negative baccillus, salmonella entrica serovar typhi (S. typhi). This short course will provide you with a brief overview of the condition and is suitable for any non-specialist healthcare professional that deals with travellers that are potentially exposed to typhoid.
