To apply for this course you should have prior academic learning at an appropriate level and have experience of, or be working in, an appropriate environment.

This course is offered at Level 3 (Degree) and Masters level and is delivered at our Glenside Campus.

Course content includes:

  • Leadership theory from a number of perspectives (individual, team, organisational, national, collective and patient)
  • The concepts of enterprise, entrepreneurship and innovation in the context of improving the systems or services in own area of specialist practice
  • Organisational cultures (behaviour, leadership, user involvement and learning)
  • Practicing the skills required to influence service improvement
  • Testing a variety of tools useful to project management.

Delivery:

Study time includes 24 hours of lectures and six hours of peer group learning. The varied learning approach for this course includes lectures, self-directed study, group work, e-learning and case study discussions. You will be asked to relate theory to practice and develop the skills required to improve service delivery or make changes to practice as a result of your learning.

Please note: Priority will be given to applications received through our funded educational contracts. Places on this module will be limited for applications received outside of this funding. Please check with your employer as a funded contract place may still be available to support your learning.
