What's covered on the day?

This awareness course will allow learners to define what a blood borne virus is, understand about the possible transmission methods and how they can be reduced. It will highlight to learners about the importance of using correct personal protective equipment and why immunisation is required. It will also refresh staff with how to deal with sharps injuries if one should be sustained.

Assessment

The learners in attendance will complete a knowledge assessment at the end of the course, to demonstrate that the information delivered has been retained and allow them to demonstrate their knowledge on the subject of BBVs.
