What's covered on the day?

This course has been developed to support staff who have been identified as a workplace infection control champion. Learners will gain a greater understanding of infection prevention and control, the requirements of legislation and regulations and how to support these in the workplace. The knowledge gained from this course will support champions to promote good practice in the prevention and control of infection whilst working in environments such as residential care homes, hospitals, supported living services and homecare services. This course has been developed and mapped to: DoH – The Health and Social Care Act 2008 – Code of Practice on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance.
