This course covers the initial assessment, examination and management of upper limb injuries presenting to the ED or Minor Injuries Unit, including in-depth X ray interpretation. Normal variants and frequently missed injuries are examined, along with commonly encountered conditions. Practical examples and case-based scenarios are used throughout.
To effectively assess upper limb injuries, determine the need for imaging and referral, and provide appropriate treatment and follow up.
