Course Objectives:

Attendees will achieve the following outcomes:

  • Understand who may be an adult at risk
  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of adult abuse
  • Understand why adults at risk don’t report abuse
  • Knowledge on the importance of dealing with a disclosure of abuse.
  • Explore the personal, professional and organisational consequences and of not dealing with it correctly.
  • Demonstrate outstanding skills in multi-agency information sharing, and what is expected of you at multi-agency meetings.
  • How to embed adult safeguarding into your clients care plans.
  • Understand risk in an organisational setting.

Who is this course for?

This interactive onsite full day course is designed for a group of between 16 to 20 delegates and suitable for all staff including non-clinical managers or those working in healthcare or other organisational settings.

Utilising the Mental Capacity Act and the Care Act 2014, this course supports your team to discharge their CPD responsibilities and enhance their performance in understanding the categories of abuse, identifying indicators of abuse and explore best practice.
