This workshop will explore new approaches for improving health, increased creativity, resilience, flexibility and coherence both personally and professionally and will start to develop skills and strategies for reducing and preventing stress and burnout, both in personal and professional situations and in helping and supporting others.
The UK’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE, 2017) takes the issues of staff engagement and well-being very seriously with work related stress and anxiety continuing to represent a significant ill health condition across the UK workforce. A recent HSE poll of over 1,000 NHS workers in primary care, including GPs, practice nurses, practice managers and their colleagues, also showed that work is currently the most stressful area of their lives, ahead of their finances, health, family life and relationships.
This workshop will provide and introductory level of Health and Safety and how this impacts people and will go on to focus on employee engagement and wellbeing. The workshop will give participants new techniques for greater efficiency, effectiveness and emotional balance during periods of accelerating change. They will explore new approaches for improving health, increased creativity, resilience, flexibility and coherence both personally and professionally and will start to develop skills and strategies for reducing and preventing stress and burnout, both in personal and professional situations and in helping and supporting others.
