This one-day interactive workshop will give delegates a clear understanding of both the transactional elements of SNOMED CT and the transformational change it will bring about. The workshop will provide a strategic overview of why it is to be adopted and an operational understanding of how to meet the deadline for all GP practices to have transitioned, both Read v2 and CTV3, to SNOMED CT from April 2018.
Delegates will develop their own Action Plan, so they understand what this means for their practices, what is likely to happen automatically and what they are likely to need to do for themselves. By now you should be aware that SNOMED CT will become the standard clinical terminology system used in general practice from April next year.
** SNOMED CT® resulted from the merger of SNOMED® Reference Terminology (SNOMED® RT) developed by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and Clinical Terms Version 3 (CTV3) developed by the UK National Health Service (NHS). As a comprehensive clinical reference terminology, it enables clinicians, researchers and patients to share comparable data while facilitating enhanced health reporting, billing and statistical analysis.
