The Level 2 Award in Introduction to the Autistic Spectrum ensures healthcare support workers and adult social care workers have the knowledge and confidence to provide support for people with autism and Asperger syndrome.

At First Response Training we can provide face-to-face, classroom-based courses inhouse at your premises or venue of your choice, open courses at our public venues and a range of e-learning, distance learning and webinar courses, as well as blended learning solutions.

By the end of this course learners will:

  • To explain Autistic Spectrum Disorders and the areas involved
  • To describe Asperger’s syndrome and the link with autism
  • To explain how Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome affects the way a person communicates and relates to people around them
  • To explain methods of supporting a person with Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome
