The Level 2 Award in Understanding Domestic Abuse ensures learners have an awareness of domestic abuse in different forms, are able to recognise possible victims and be aware of the help available for victims.

At First Response Training we can provide face-to-face, classroom-based courses inhouse at your premises or venue of your choice, open courses at our public venues and a range of e-learning, distance learning and webinar courses, as well as blended learning solutions.

By the end of this course learners will:

• Recognise different types of domestic abuse
• Understand the impact of domestic abuse on victims and children
• Recognise the risk factors for domestic abuse
• Recognise the signs of domestic abuse
• Know how to deal with a Domestic Abuse Disclosure
• Describe the legislation and legal processes relating to domestic abuse

• Signs, symptoms, risk and co-morbidity
• Disclosure, confidentiality, legislation and MARAC
