The Level 2 Award in Substance Misuse Awareness gives learners an awareness of issues surrounding drug and alcohol abuse.
At First Response Training we can provide face-to-face, classroom-based courses inhouse at your premises or venue of your choice, open courses at our public venues and a range of e-learning, distance learning and webinar courses, as well as blended learning solutions.
By the end of this course learners will:
- Identify commonly used drugs
- Identify reasons why people use substances
- Explain related physical and psychological risks
- Describe legal classifications and penalties
- Identify support services
- Recognise how substance abuse impacts society and the family
- Identify current sensible drinking guidelines

- Define drug abuse
- List reason why a person may abuse substances
- To identify potential risks from substance abuse
- To explain classification of drugs
- To identify the impact of substance abuse on society
- To identify current guidance on drinking
