The Level 3 Award in the Role of the Fire Marshal is a 4 hour training course from First Response Training which provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to be a Fire Marshal in the workplace. It is mapped to current legislation, Approved Codes of Practice (ACoP) and HSE guidance.
At First Response Training we can provide face-to-face, classroom-based courses inhouse at your premises or venue of your choice, open courses at our public venues and a range of e-learning, distance learning and webinar courses, as well as blended learning solutions.
By the end of this training course, learners will be able to:
- List the reasons for fire safety legislation
- Explain the principles of fire science
- Describe how to conduct a risk assessment
- Describe the different methods of evacuation
- Identify fire safety equipment in the workplace
- Describe how fire safety issues should be managed in the workplace

- Emergency plan, maps, signage
- Classification of fire
- Principles of fire fighting and equipment
- Training, testing and sire drills
- Evacuation procedures
