The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support is a 3-hour training course from First Response Training which meets HSE standards, Resuscitation Council UK guidelines, learning outcomes from the Care Certificate and Skills for Health, and current legislation.

It provides learners with essential first aid training, including CPR, the recovery position and dealing with choking.

At First Response Training we can provide face-to-face, classroom-based courses inhouse at your premises or venue of your choice, open courses at our public venues and a range of e-learning, distance learning and webinar courses, as well as blended learning solutions.

Course syllabus:

• Introduction to Basic Life Support
• Resuscitation inc. AED - practical
• Choking
• Management of unresponsiveness:
  • Causes
  • Levels of Response
  • Recovery Position
  • Secondary Survey (only if time)

Certificate title: Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support

Certificate validity: 3 years
