This engaging NHS and Social Care-specific module will provide an overview of the principles of adopting confidentiality within an organisation. It will enable a learner to understand why confidentiality is important and what the four key requirements of the confidentiality model are. It will also give the learner an appreciation of the circumstances in which it may be necessary to disclose confidential information, when to seek consent and understand their role in creating a confidential service.

Having completed the course learners will be able to explain why it is important to an organisation, describe the main areas of legislation and regulation, explain what needs to be done and be in a position to promote best practice within your organisation.
