This engaging NHS and Social Care-specific course will describe the framework of standards for handling information in a confidential and secure manner, known as Information Governance (IG). It will enable the learner to understand what IG management means, have an appreciation of the NHS job roles involved, be aware of the role of the Caldicott Guardians and an understanding of the IG Toolkit and how it can be used.

Having completed the course learners will be able to explain why it is important to an organisation, describe the main areas of legislation and regulation, explain what needs to be done and be in a position to promote best practice within their organisation.
