This bite size course explains the Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) model, which is the new national approach in Scotland for those supporting and working with children and young people. It affects all services for children and adults where children are involved and therefore is relevant for all children and adult services staff.
On completion of this Virtual College course learners will have an increased understanding of the Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) model which seeks to encourage changes in culture, systems and practice across services for children, promote a child centred approach and engender a common understanding and shared language across all agencies.
