Good communication skills are essential for health and social care professionals, because they help them to develop relationships and demonstrate that they care.

This course has been designed to provide learners with a basic understanding of what communication is, and how it is used to support people who need help. It provides with learners an increased understanding of why effective communication is important as well as the required knowledge to overcome barriers to communication.
