Dental care during pregnancy

As Health Professionals you have a unique opportunity to communicate and educate pregnant women, in giving them control of their oral health. This guidance is aimed at those maternity professionals who provide care to pregnant women, as an introduction into oral conditions during pregnancy, to encourage pregnant women to visit the dentist. By educating them on good oral health practices, we can reduce pain, anxiety, and ultimately the amount of admission’s for general anaesthetic for dental conditions.
