Adult Basic Life Support & Use of an AED (with video assessment)

Health Academy
Delivery Method: eLearning

In the UK there are more than 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests per year. For every minute that goes by without effective Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation, the casualties chance of survival drops by 10%. Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and work places.

The Resuscitation Council (UK) recommends that all staff in care organisations undertake training in how to deliver effective resuscitation with the use of an AED. For clinical staff it is recommended that this training is completed at least annually, is practical and is assessed.

This innovative course developed by Health Academy is compliant with the Resuscitation Council (UK) and has the added benefit of being able to be completed in your own working environment.

Stage 1 – The learning completes our interactive video based course.

Stage 2 – The learner films them-self completing CPR cycles on a resus manikin and upload it to Health Academy for assessment.

This course is suitable for anyone working in Primary Care settings such as GP’s and Pharmacies and Community settings including care homes only working with Adults.
