The European Commission has introduced the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will be implemented on 25th May 2018.
The regulation has mainly been implemented in order to:
Force companies to be clearer on their data collection and usage
Improve data protection and prevent data infringement
Establish improved control and reactivity to prevent data leakage
These new regulations play an important role at a time when both the volume of data is skyrocketing, and threats are growing at a similar rate.
A key factor of any organisation’s GDPR compliance is staff awareness and education.
The course will cover the following areas
- Understand relevant legislation
- Define personal data
- Describe who the GDPR applies to
- List the 7 key principles
- Describe what is meant by a lawful basis for processing
- List an individual's rights under the GDPR
- Describe what is meant by security under GDPR
- Understand the need for getting further guidance on GDPR
eLearning courses are designed to be interactive to help learners stay focused and engaged in the learning they are faced with.
The courses require the learner to perform small actions within the course, revealing further information, or quiz questions to help them reflect upon previous course content they have studied. A CPD certificate can be downloaded on completion.
